Retail gasoline prices fell across the state, including Houston, which remains the city with the cheapest average price, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.

The price for a gallon of unleaded regular fuel in Houston was down 4 cents from last week to $2.53. Galveston and Texas City motorists are seeing a 3-cent drop to $2.58 per gallon.

Motorists in El Paso are paying the most for a gallon of gas at $2.69, which is down 3 cents from last week.

On average, gas prices in the state fell four cents to $2.57 per gallon, while the national average fell 3 cents to $2.72.
