NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Dow Jones Industrial Average is among the top searched phrases today after it broke a seven-day losing streak on Tuesday. The DJIA had a 57-point gain on the day following the holiday weekend.

This morning investors are trying to find a comfortable trading range amid global recovery concerns.

No significant economic reports are due out today that could help shake the market from its recent doldrums, but investors can look ahead to Thursday when the Labor Department will release monthly June sales results.

Searches for information on the oil skimmers involved in the BP ( BP) oil spill cleanup effort in the Gulf of Mexico are on the rise this morning. BP has put 550 oil skimmers in the waters of the Gulf, and will add an additional 500 ships within the next few weeks.

Each day between 35,000 and 60,000 barrels of oil continue to gush into the Gulf of Mexico, while relief workers are able to contain or burn off only 25,000 barrels.

BP is now testing a Taiwanese-owned oil skimming vessel called A Whale, which would theoretically be able to filter 21 million gallons of oily water per day.

Experts estimate that so far around 1.9 million to 3.6 million barrels, or 79.5 million to 153 million gallons, of oil have leaked into the Gulf of Mexico and the cost of the cleanup has risen to $3.12 billion.

The chatter on Main Street (a.k.a. Google) is always of interest to investors on Wall Street. Thus, each day, TheStreet compiles the stories that are trending on Google, and highlights the news that could make stocks move.
