Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: LVLT) today announced that it has been selected to provide wholesale voice, toll-free and VoIP enhanced local services (ELS) for EtherSpeak Communications, an open standard based IP communications solutions provider.

Under the contract, EtherSpeak will operate its voice traffic on Level 3’s network, thereby allowing the company to expand its coverage area and streamline its business. With Level 3 VoIP ELS, customers like EtherSpeak can deliver IP-based local and long-distance communications services to residential and business customers using broadband connections. This solution enables a quick-to-market, cost-effective and high-quality VoIP primary-line replacement service.
