NEW ALBANY, Ohio ( TheStreet) -- Abercrombie & Fitch ( ANF) said comparable-store sales in March rose 5%, while total net sales of $275.4 million were an increase of 19% from a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters forecast same-store sales to rise 6.6% in March.

Abercrombie & Fitch said Thursday that total company direct-to-consumer net merchandise sales increased 45% to $27.9 million. Total international net sales, including direct-to-consumer net sales, increased 112% to $45.8 million.
