InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ:INSP) today announced the appointment of Stephen P. Hawthornthwaite as vice president of corporate development. Hawthornthwaite will be responsible for the Company’s merger and acquisition activities and will report directly to William Lansing, president and chief executive officer of InfoSpace.

With fourteen years of investment banking experience advising both public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions across multiple industry sectors, Hawthornthwaite joins InfoSpace from GCA Savvian Advisors, LLC, where he served as Partner and Managing Director. During his six year tenure at GCA Savvian, he was instrumental in building the firm’s digital media franchise and advised on numerous M&A transactions in the digital media and Internet sectors.
