NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- On his "Stop Trading!" segment on CNBC, Jim Cramer said Friday that he believes in an appliance rally, touting Jarden ( JAH) as one of his favorite picks. "Jarden is a growth story," Cramer said. "People don't know this story. They should. Their business is smoking. They can pre-announce better-than-expected." Cramer said that the company is very well run, taking up vast amounts of shelf space at Target ( TGT) and generating a lot of cash. Cramer particularly likes Jarden's toasters, Mr. Coffee machine and Margarita Machine. The company also has a fraction of its business in playing cards. "This stock can go higher," Cramer said. On the topic of the appliance rally, Cramer also mentioned Sears ( SHLD), which sells Kenmore whirlpools. Another one of Cramer's favorite picks on Friday is VF Corp. ( VFC).
Cramer says he's surprised at how little the VF stock has moved, considering how cold it is across the country and how popular its North Face brand has been. "North Face is the earnings driver. Why this company's stock hasn't moved more is a mystery to me," Cramer said. "I think North Face is on fire. I'm not worried about its European sales anymore." On "Stop Trading!" Cramer also lauded Joy Global ( JOYG) and Bucyrus ( BUCY), calling them two of the finest manufacturers of equipment for the mining world. Cramer said they are "winning stocks no one believes in...inexpensive stocks that are going higher." "Machinery is in!" he said. "We make the best machinery in the world." One auto-supplier stock he's recommending is "the new" Dana ( DAN), which Cramer called "smoking" and recommended by Goldman Sachs ( GS). "This business is really fabulous. Its inventories are lean."
Cramer also said he likes Lear ( LEA), and picked Schnitzer Steel ( SCHN) as one of his favorite, inexpensive stocks. The company's shares surged this week. Cramer points out that Schnitzer sends scrap to China, rather than the other way around. Still, he did caution that he likes Nucor ( NUE) more than AK Steel ( AKS), Schnitzer and Reliance ( RS). -- Reported by Andrea Tse in New York >>See our new stock quote page.
