PEWAUKEE, Wis. (TheStreet) -- According to CNBC's "Fast Money" traders, the adjustment in the third-quarter GDP figure released on Tuesday from an expansion of only 2.8%, rather than the estimate of 3.5%, was significant. Rick Santelli said he was surprised the revised data had little impact on the markets. He explained that this means the markets are trading higher for reasons that aren't fundamentally based.

Karen Finerman pointed out that the markets won't move in the short term off of fundamentals. However, she does think it will become a big factor in the long term. Tim Seymour said there were market players lining up on both sides of the trade in the attempt to interpret the GDP data. He mentioned the same trades live on, with strength in commodities and a weak dollar.

Pete Najarian recommended traders keep commodities names such as Chevron ( CVX - Get Report) and Exxon Mobil ( XOM - Get Report) on their radar. He said both stocks have traded higher over the past several days despite the fact that oil is struggling around $80 a barrel.

Peter Schiff, president of Euro Pacific Capital, joined the traders on Tuesday's show to talk about the strength in gold. He said gold has a lot of room to the upside because the U.S. is printing too much money to stabilize the bank and housing sectors. He told viewers the best place to be invested in are gold, commodities and overseas stocks.

The "Fast Money" crew has recently highlighted trading ideas that play off nine dividend stocks, the weak dollar and unusual options activity. Here are some highlights from over the past week as aggregated from the show.

Fast Money's 9 Dividend Stock Plays: The traders highlighted nine stocks for investors looking for plays with a rising stream of dividend income. On last Thursday's "Fast Money" show Joe Terranova told viewers: "I love Abbott Labs ( ABT - Get Report). They have a strong balance sheet and lots of cash flow. I think it's a $60 stock. And with its dividend yield, I think its all the more reason to be an owner of Abbott." The Fast Money's 9 Dividend Stock Plays portfolio includes Molex ( MOLX) and Analog Devices ( ADI - Get Report).

Fast Money's Options Action & Trades: The traders have noticed some unusual options activity in a number of stocks. On Tuesday's "Fast Money" show Pete Najarian told viewers: "A higher-than-usual volume of March 32 calls traded on Tuesday for the Health Care ETF ( XLV - Get Report). The action leads me to conclude that a big investor is betting this ETF could make a significant move higher." The Fast Money's Options Action & Trades portfolio includes Origin Agritech ( SEED) and Focus Media ( FMCN).

Fast Money's Weak Dollar Trades: The traders think you should focus on companies that do a large amount of their business overseas, considering how weak the dollar is right now. These firms are sure to benefit as they repatriate their profits. On last Wednesday's "Fast Money" show, Tim Seymour told viewers: "Economies are growing at 5% to 10% in Asia and certain parts of Latin America. That, combined with the weak dollar, makes me long-term bullish on all the names mentioned on the list." The Fast Money's Weak Dollar Trades portfolio includes Intel ( INTC - Get Report) and Hewlett-Packard ( HPQ - Get Report).

Fast Money's 3 Undervalued Stocks: With the Dow up 19% year-to-date, is it a good time to buy the stocks that are the biggest underperformers? According to Jon Najarian it is! On Monday's "Fast Money" show, Najarian told viewers: "When the market rallies you want to buy underperformers. Warren Buffett owns all three, and that's one of the many reason to like them." (Click here for Warren Buffett's portfolio.) The Fast Money's 3 Undervalued Stocks portfolio includes UnitedHealth Group ( UNH - Get Report) and Lowe's ( LOW - Get Report).

Fast Money's Best Black Friday Trades: The crew highlighted their favorite retail trades for playing Black Friday. On Tuesday's "Fast Money" show, Patty Edwards told viewers: "I'd play retail with companies that offer consumers value, like Dollar Tree ( DLTR) or with the best operators. And in my opinion, that's J. Crew ( JCG)." The Fast Money's Best Black Friday Trades portfolio includes MasterCard ( MA - Get Report) and Amazon.com ( AMZN - Get Report).

Fast Money's Health Care Legislation Trades: Considering there's so much rhetoric and so few actual advances, how should you trade the health care complex? On last Friday's "Fast Money" show, Steve Grasso told viewers: "I think the play is long UnitedHealth Group ( UNH - Get Report). It seems like there's a long way to go until anything is passed." The Fast Money's Health Care Legislation Trades portfolio includes C.R. Bard ( BCR) and Becton, Dickinson ( BDX - Get Report).
