Last week was Dividend Week on Jim Cramer's "Mad Money" TV show. Every day, Cramer highlighted a stock had increased or was expected to increased its dividend, including Air Products ( APD) on March 23, Procter & Gamble ( PG) on March 24 and Chevron ( CVX) on March 25.

" Dividends have never been so important," he said. According to Cramer, a company that can raise its dividend has a steady growth path.
