Share prices among the handset makers were mixed Monday, with Nokia ( NOK) leading the winners.

Nokia, recently singled out for its slipping market share, was nonetheless recently up 7.5% to $11.73. Motorola ( MOT), Research In Motion ( RIMM) and iPhone maker Apple ( AAPL) also were up, albeit less dramatically. Motorola's shares were tacking on 1.3% to $3.80, RIM was gaining 2.1% to $41.01, and Apple was up 0.7% to 96.57.

On the losing side, Palm ( PALM), which has steadily been gaining analyst support in light of the upcoming Pre phone, was down 6.9% to $7.81 in recent trading.
