Updated from 6:59 a.m. EDTBy Stockpickr Guest Columnist "The Prudent Speculator" As many of you know, I have been a longtime fan of the Atlas family of companies. For those who are interested, you can find a brief write-up of mine about the parent company, Atlas America ( ATLS), here. Of the Atlas America subsidiaries, Atlas Energy Resources ( ATN) has been catching the eye of members of the investment community of late. One of its more vocal proponents has been Jim Cramer. Cramer's involvement and discussion of the stock means that the investment thesis behind Atlas Energy Resources is becoming increasingly understood by mainstream investors, which is a great thing for those shareholders that got into the stock long ago. Everyone seems to talk about the big boys, such as Cabot Oil & Gas ( COG - Get Report), Anadarko ( APC), Chevron ( CVX - Get Report) and, of course, Exxon ( XOM - Get Report). But Atlas is an interesting play, too. So we have to ask: Is Cramer right? To find out, please click here.
