At this point, no one should be surprised to hear that earnings season is in full swing, and Thursday will mark another busy day for corporate America to ship its numbers over the wires.

The early side will feature the likes of Aetna ( AET), Bristol-Myers Squibb ( BMY), Comcast ( CMCSA), EMC ( EMC) and Harrah's ( HET).

Also on the schedule are Honda ( HMC), Ericsson ( ERIC), Motorola ( MOT), RadioShack ( RSH), US Airways ( LCC) and XM Satellite ( XMSR).

Following the close, investors can watch for Baidu.com ( BIDU), Genworth ( GNW), Microsoft ( MSFT) and Wendy's ( WEN).

The economic calendar will have three notable reports -- durable-goods orders for September, new-home sales for last month and weekly initial jobless claims.

On TheStreet.com, staff reporter Ivy Lessner will preview Microsoft's earnings and tell you what to expect from the Redmond, Wash., software and Xbox seller, and RealMoney's David Peltier will reveal whether you should buy shares of staffing concern Manpower ( MAN).

Also, TSC Ratings analyst Richard Widows will take a look at exchange-traded funds with 10-year winning streaks, and personal finance pro Jeffrey Strain will offer some tips everyone can implement to keep from procrastinating on their finances.
