TheStreet.com Inc. ( TSCM), the publisher of this Web site, announced several management changes Tuesday morning.

Jim Lonergan, the company's president and chief operating officer, has decided to step down to pursue personal "entrepreneurial opportunities," the company said. Lonergan will leave the New York-based company Oct. 12.

The company also said that effective Oct. 1, Erika Faust was appointed senior vice president of marketing, and effective Sept. 10, Kurt Tietjen was named senior vice president of operations.

"We're pursuing a strategy of broadening the scope of our content and overall services," said Tom Clarke Jr., chairman and CEO of TheStreet.com. "The level of multimedia expansion taking place required us to bring in talent with a specific, expert skill set. Both Faust and Tietjen have extensive experience successfully guiding companies through business model transitions and into the next phase of development and profitability. This will be of tremendous value to TheStreet.com as we continue to transition to a marketing services-based revenue model while growing within an evolving industry landscape."

Before joining TheStreet.com, Faust led business development and operations for Court TV Online. There she oversaw Court TV's broadband strategy and product development, including management of Court TV Extra, a subscription video news product which she transitioned to an advertising-supported revenue model.

Tietjen is an operations management executive with more than 20 years of experience managing online media operations.

Additionally, TheStreet.com named Teresa Santos general counsel and secretary of the company. Formerly associate general counsel, Santos was the lead attorney on the company's recent acquisitions.

TheStreet.com produces financial news and ratings, business and investment content and custom advertising.
