Wipro ( WIT) beat analysts' third-quarter earnings and revenue projections, sending shares higher during Wednesday trading. Wipro shares recently rose 3%, tacking on another 51 cents to $17.59. The Indian IT services firm said its revenue jumped 43% to $899 million for the third quarter, plowing past the average analyst forecast of $803.2 million. Its global IT services and products business represented $650 million of revenue. Wipro said profit rose 40% to $169 million, or 12 cents a share, beating the consensus estimate by 2 cents. Looking ahead to the final quarter of its fiscal year, Wipro said its global IT services and products sales would total about $685 million, but the company didn't offer a total revenue forecast.
