Wells Fargo ( WFC) said its fourth-quarter revenue rose 11% year over year and exceeded analysts' estimates.

The bank earned $2.18 billion, or 64 cents a share, in the quarter, matching expectations. A year ago, Wells Fargo had a profit of $1.93 billion, or 57 cents a share.

On the top line, revenue climbed to $9.41 billion, up from $8.49 billion in the same period last year.
