Bundled securities tracking chip stocks were rising Wednesday, benefiting from the excitement around the introduction of Apple's ( AAPL) iPhone.

Among individual names, Marvell Technology ( MRVL) was recently up 5.9%, Nvidia ( NVDA) was higher by 5.7%, and Intel ( INTC) was tacking on 2%.

The PowerShares Dynamic Semiconductors ( PSI) ETF was recently up 2% to $17.64. The iShares Goldman Sachs Semiconductor ( IGW) was gaining 1.5% to $62.22. The SPDR Semiconductor ( XSD) ETF was adding 1.4% to $50.27, and the Semiconductor HOLDRs ( SMH) was higher by 1.3% to $34.78.

The Internet Architecture HOLDRs ( IAH) was also higher thanks to Apple, one of the fund's major holdings. Apple was recently up 4.6%, boosting the ETF by 21 cents, or 0.5%, to $44.73.

Retailer-related ETFs were also winners. Sears Holdings ( SHLD) was rising 3.5% after revising its fourth-quarter earnings estimate above the Thomson First Call consensus. The PowerShares Dynamic Retail ( PMR) ETF was rising by 0.7% to $20.09. The Retail HOLDRs ( RTH) was higher by 0.4% to $100.42.

Oil-related ETFs were dropping after crude prices finished at their lowest level in 19 months, falling $1.62 to $54.02 a barrel.

The United States Oil ( USO) ETF was recently falling 3.7% to $45.55. The iPath Goldman Sachs Crude Oil ( OIL) ETF was recently down 3.7% to $33.60. The SPDR Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ( XOP) ETF was off 1.3% to $35.81, and the Energy Select Sector SPDR ( XLE) ETF was dipping 1.2% to $54.78.

The Biotech HOLDRs ( BBH) fell 0.7% as holding Genentech ( DNA), which reports earnings after the bell, lost nearly 1%. The ETF was losing $1.28 to $189.02.
