Shares of IBM ( IBM) were lower after A.G Edwards downgraded the hardware giant's stock.

The firm cut IBM to hold from buy based on its valuation and concerns about a lack of bookings growth in the company's services business.

IBM was falling 1.8% to $98.25 Wednesday.
