Newspaper publisher Washington Post ( WPO) said Monday that its Kaplan unit acquired English language instructor Aspect Education. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Headquartered in the U.K., Aspect offers English language instructions with 19 schools located in various countries. Over time, it will merge with Kaplan's existing English language training division, which has 17 schools.

"The new partnership will ultimately bring immense advantages to our students and agency partners," Kalpan said. "Aspect and Kaplan share a depth of experience in the international education arena, and our businesses have complementary strengths."
