BOMBAY -- Bombay stocks dropped 2.6% Friday, marking their fourth decline in five sessions and giving back much of Thursday's gains.

The Sensex fell 267.03 points to close at 10,085.91. All but three component stocks declined Friday.

Among the top losers were Larsen & Toubro, which lost 5.2% despite a 9.9% profit gain, and Wipro ( WIT) and Grasim Industries, each of which lost 4.8%.

Satyam Computers ( SAY) dropped fractionally after the company posted a 86.2% rise in net profit for the latest quarter.

The gainers in the index were Ranbaxy Laboratories, which gained 1.1%, Cipla, which gained 1.1% and Reliance Energy, which gained 0.5%.
