Pepsi Bottling ( PBG) reiterated its 2006 earnings guidance Tuesday. The Somers, N.Y., bottler expects to earn $1.76 to $1.84 a share during the year, including a charge of 18 cents a share for stock options. Excluding the expense, Pepsi Bottling expects to earn $1.94 to $2.02 a share. Analysts were forecasting earnings of $1.82 a share. The company said it's also on track to meet its first-quarter targets. The company said its U.S. business should post volume growth of 1% to 2% for the year, while net revenue per case should rise 2% to 3%, worldwide. The stock closed at $29.78.
