Engineering and construction services company Jacobs Engineering Group ( JEC) said its subsidiaries have bagged four contracts. One contract is from the California Department of General Services to provide construction management services for a central plant renovation. The project involves a 25,000-square-foot renovation of the existing facility and a 25,000-square-foot expansion of the plant. Company estimates the project cost at $106 million. Its subsidiary Jacobs Facilities received a contract extension from the Los Angeles Community College District to provide project and construction management for the expansion program at East Los Angeles Community College. Officials did not disclose the value of the three-year contract. The third contract is from the Florida Department of Transportation Turnpike Enterprise to widen the Sawgrass Expressway from Atlantic Boulevard to Coral Ridge Drive in Broward County. The company estimates the value of the contract, targeted to be completed in late 2007, at $57 million. The fourth contract is from Suncor Energy Services to proceed with engineering design specification work for Stage 3 of Suncor's Firebag in-situ oil sands program near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The company did not disclose the contract value. The company's stock is trading at $80.38, down $4.24, or 5%.
