Smith International Raises Dividend

Oil and gas services company Smith International ( SII) raised its quarterly dividend by 33% to 8 cents.

The dividend is payable April 14, 2006 to shareholders of record on March 15, 2006.

The company's shares were trading at $39.03, up 30 cents.
