Jim, we all know the Xbox 360 is coming out soon. But how can we make money off PlayStation 3 which hits next year?

-- Paul from Boston

James J. Cramer: I bought GameStop ( GME) for my ActionAlertsPLUS charitable trust portfolio because it benefits from all console (including PlayStation 3) and software releases and provides some diversification vs. buying a single software publisher like Electronic Arts ( ERTS). I don't endorse buying Sony ( SNE) for the PS3 because the company isn't doing very well outside of the video-game business.

Would Altria (MO) be a good stock to own for a recession?

-- Adam from New Jersey

James J. Cramer: Actually, I think Altria is a good holding regardless of how the economy does. Tobacco stocks are good to own during a recession, but Altria is also a special situation because it will be broken up, and the separate pieces of the company could be worth more than $100.

So I'm hanging on to Altria for my ActionAlertsPLUS portfolio because I believe it can do well regardless of how the economy is doing.
