What do you think of Legg Mason (LM) as a long-term investment?

-- Brian from Virginia

James J. Cramer: For investors with a long time horizon, Legg Mason is a good choice for the aggressive portion of a portfolio. It is a very well-managed and hugely profitable company, but the stock is fairly volatile.

Do you like the (CVGRX) Calamos Growth Fund?

-- John from New Jersey

James J. Cramer: Calamos Growth is a very good aggressive growth fund that is heavily weighted in tech stocks like Apple ( AAPL) and eBay ( EBAY). While this is not a good choice for more conservative investors, such as retirees, it has an excellent long-term record and is a solid choice for younger investors with a healthy appetite for risk.
