Shares of Silicon Image ( SIMG) dropped after the chipmaker said two executives, including the vice president of its consumer electronics and PC/display businesses, have left the company.

John LeMoncheck will be replaced on an interim basis by John Shin as VP of the consumer electronics and PC/display operations. Shin is currently Silicon Image's vice president of engineering.

Additionally, Robert Bagheri, the company's executive vice president of operations, has accepted a senior executive position at another semiconductor company. He'll leave Silicon Image in early November. Ahmad Ghaemmaghami will serve as the interim head of operations.

The company's stock was down 35 cents, or 4%, to $8 in recent trading Friday.

Silicon Image is looking for an executive search firm to help it find replacements for Bagheri and LeMoncheck.
