Bruker Biosciences ( BRKR) agreed to acquire Roentec AG, a Berlin-based X-ray microanalysis instrumentation company.

Terms weren't disclosed, though Billerica, Mass.-based Bruker said Roentec has annual revenue of $6 million to $7 million. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.

The worldwide X-ray microanalysis market is estimated to be greater than $150 million per year, Bruker said. Typical applications of X-ray microanalysis include nanotechnology and advanced materials research with customers in industry, academia and government research facilities.

On Friday, Bruker fell 5 cents to $4.46.
