Gap (GPS) named Charlotte Neuville head of design.

The San Francisco-based apparel giant said Neuville will oversee all aspects of product design and development for the brand's adult men's and women's apparel and accessories. Pina Ferlisi, executive vice president-Gap Design, is leaving.

Neuville joins Gap from New York & Co. ( NWY).

"With more than twenty years of design experience, Charlotte has a strong and proven ability to interpret style and provide leadership in product development," said Gap's president, Cynthia Harriss. "We're excited to have Charlotte working with our talented design team to deliver Gap's fresh, casual, American style to our customers."

On Tuesday, Gap fell 25 cents to $16.26.
