Pizza Inn ( PZZI) named Jack Odachowski vice president of supply chain management in a move the restaurant chain said "signifies a new approach to purchasing and distribution."

Pizza Inn, based in the Colony, Texas, said Odachowski "has been charged with reducing costs, increasing efficiency and ensuring quality throughout the company's supply chain, from warehouse to point of sale." He previously worked at RTM, a multi-unit Arby's franchisee.

"Jack's past experience uniquely qualifies him for this position at Pizza Inn," said CEO Tim Taft. "He will be a critical piece of our Building a Better Pizza Inn Strategy, which focuses on the long-term vision of the brand."

"My vision is to have all of our franchisees purchasing their food and supplies from Pizza Inn's distribution arm, Norco Restaurant Services Company, because we are doing a great job of consistently delivering quality products at lower costs," said Odachowski. He will also serve as a member of Pizza Inn's product purchasing committee.

On Monday, Pizza Inn fell 15 cents to $2.60.
