Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia ( MSO) and Sony BMG are taking a sleigh ride together in a new partnership that will produce holiday-oriented music collections to hit stores Oct. 18.

The music, compiled by Stewart, will be released as individual discs and as a three-disc box set through Sony BMG's Epic records. The box set will include 30 recipe cards, decoration tips and craft ideas.

"Music helps set the tone for any occasion," said Martha Stewart Living chief Susan Lyne in a statement. "Martha's selections for this compilation will make any holiday gathering more festive."

The discs are split up between traditional songs (with tracks from Mariah Carey and Frank Sinatra), jazz holiday favorites (Tony Bennett, Louis Prima) and classical standards (Placido Domingo, the Boston Pops).

On Monday, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia was trading down 17 cents to $24.85.
