Sun Rises Again at NetEase

NetEase.com ( NTES) said acting CEO Ted Sun has returned from medical leave.

The Beijing-based Internet company also named Michael Tong chief operating officer.

"I am delighted to be able to reassume my duties and once again lead NetEase in its continuing efforts to build the leading online and wireless community in China," Sun said. "I wish to thank all those who offered their support during my medical leave, especially Denny Lee, our chief financial officer, and Michael Tong, who is now our chief operating officer, for their services to the company during my absence."

The company announced in April that Sun would take temporary medical leave.

On Wednesday, NetEase shares rose 28 cents to $33.28.
