J.B. Hunt Transport ( JBHT) slumped 10% Friday after the trucking company was served with an arbitration notice from Burlington Northern Santa Fe ( BNI) railway.

Lowell, Ark.-based J.B. Hunt said the dispute stems from the distribution of future revenue from a venture the companies operate together. Burlington Northern wants the arbitrator to determine the fairness of the revenue split, J.B. Hunt said.

J.B. Hunt also said it sued to determine the status of the parties in the venture. The company said nonetheless that it "believes that the resolution of this matter will not have a material effect upon its financial results nor the ongoing delivery of services to our customers."

On Friday, J.B. Hunt dropped $3.56 to $32.48, while Burlington Northern rose 60 cents to $34.13.
