Colgate Promotes Three Execs

Colgate-Palmolive ( CL) named Ian Cook chief operating officer and Javier Teruel and Lois Juliber vice chairmen.

The New York-based toothpaste titan said Cook will add operating responsibility for Asia, Central Europe and Africa to his portfolio. Teruel will assume responsibility for reviewing and sharpening worldwide strategy. Juliber will continue to head global business development, research and development, global product supply chain, information technology and corporate development.

"These three executives are examples of the extraordinary depth and breadth of the talented and dedicated Colgate people leading our initiatives throughout the world," CEO Reuben Mark said. "Their new assignments further strengthen our senior management team and ensure continuing improvement of our successful strategies and business practices."

On Friday, Colgate shares were flat at $58.06.
