Chuck is a CFA who serves as CEO and eminence gris of Veritas et Lux, a firm that provides investment research, particularly on corporate earnings, the economy and market strategy. Previously, he spent 11 years as director of research at Thomson First Call.

I'm sure you're familiar with his name, as he's a frequent guest on financial television and radio programs and is quoted by leading business and financial media outlets worldwide. In addition to discussing the outlook for earnings, he also speaks at various regulatory body and industry association conferences on the recent abuses in investment research.

Chuck is the outgoing president of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the incoming president of the Boston Economic Club. He is also a member of the User Advisory Council to the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

He spent 22 years as an analyst covering the technology industry at sell-side firms Kidder Peabody and Prudential Bache and research boutique Quantum Associates. Earlier, he worked in sales at IBM.

Chuck holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University and bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering and history from the University of Delaware. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve with the rank of commander, having served as an intelligence officer.
