NCR Corp. ( NCR ) Thursday jacked full-year earnings guidance, saying there were signs that "capital spending for information technology may be improving." The Dayton, Ohio-based company forecast EPS of $1.10 to $1.15 from a previous forecast calling for 85 cents to 95 cents a share. The consensus view is 92 cents a share, according to Thomson First Call. The computer services company also said it expects a loss of 5 cents to 10 cents a share in the traditionally slow first quarter, which is much better than the consensus estimate of analysts calling for a loss of 27 cents a share. NCR said quarterly revenue would hit $1.27 billion to $1.29 billion, vs. a consensus view of $1.25 billion. NCR said it will provide more details on its higher full-year guidance when it releases its first-quarter results April 29. Shares rose 94 cents, or 2%, to $47.19.
