Clorox ( CLX) on Wednesday confirmed guidance for the rest of the remaining reporting periods of its 2004 fiscal year, which basically matched Wall Street's expectations.

For the third quarter, the company expects to earn 55 cents to 57 cents, which bookends the consensus estimate. The company anticipates fourth-quarter earnings in the range of 82 cents to 85 cents a share, vs. analysts' expectations of 83 cents a share, according to Thomson One Analytics

For the full year, Clorox expects earnings from $2.48 to $2.53 a share, vs. a mean forecast of $2.52 a share. The company said volume and sales will grow 3% to 5%.

The company best known for its bleach reports third-quarter results on May 6.

Shares rose 13 cents, to $48.15.
