Alvarion (Nasdaq:ALVR) today announced a follow-on order from Cambodia's leading cellular communications company. CamGSM Co., which runs Cambodia's MobiTel Cellular Network, is buying more wireless equipment in the licensed 3.5 GHz frequency band, Alvarion said. The company, which develops broadband wireless access solutions, has sold more than a million dollars worth of equipment to CamGSM so far. CamGSM belongs to Millicom International SA, which runs mobile communications companies in some 20 nations. With over 250,000 users, CamGSM has a 70% market share in its home nation. In March CamGSM expanded its range of services to include " Telesurf Wireless" - fast access to Internet using wireless solutions. These services are now available in Phnom Penh and the Siem Reap and Sihanoukville regions, Alvarion said. CamGSM is in the process of expanding further. It plans for its network to cover Battambong, Poi pet, Kampong Cham and Kampot by the end of September.
