Treasuries, especially longer-term issues, were stronger Friday afternoon, and the 30-year bond and the 10-year note were each rising by more than a point.

In afternoon action, the long bond was gaining 1 22/32 to 103 29/32, yielding 5.113%. The 10-year was up 1 4/32 to 100 30/32 and yielding 4.258%.

Shorter-term notes were flat to higher. The two-year was unchanged at 100 11/32, yielding 2.071%, while the five-year was ahead by 13/32 to 99 29/32 and yielding 3.265%.
