The commercial banks are to hire the services of lobbying firm Policy in order to promote their struggle on bank fees, Ma'ariv reports.

The banks are joining forces against the Israel Consumer Council, which is involved in a public campaign relating to bank fees.

The banking system believes that fees are inseparable from bank services, and that it is customary practice to pay fees for a range of business activities.

The banking association decided on a concerted effort under a single information front.
