When prospective high school students consider which university to continue their education, one factor they may take into account is earnings potential after graduating.
WealthInsight, a data firm providing information on the world's high net worth individuals, along with news publication Verdict, have complied a list of the universities producing the most millionaires.
The rankings are based on over 200,000 high-net-worth individuals, and here they are:

Located in the windy city, the University of Chicago rounds out the top 10 with notable attendees including Oracle's (ORCL - Get Report) co-founder Larry Ellison, film critic Roger Ebert, and American banker David Rockefeller.
The Evanston, Illinois based university ranks eighth on the list with attendees including Stephen Colbert, host of the CBS (CBS - Get Report) talk program "The Late Show," actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin.
Eighth on the list is the UK-based institution which boasts notable attendees including scientist Charles Darwin, media magnate Arianna Huffington, and Charles, Prince of Wales.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, located in Cambridge ranks sixth on the list with notable attendees including former chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke, astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ranking fifth is the UK-based institution, which boasts notable attendees including Executive Co-Chairman of 21st Century Fox (FOXA) Rupert Murdoch, physicist Stephen Hawking, and President Bill Clinton.
Ranking fourth is New York City-based Columbia University. Notable attendees included President Barack Obama, aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart, and filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.
The Philadelphia-based university comes in third on the list. Notable attendees included President Donald Trump, and billionaire investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A - Get Report) (BRK.B - Get Report) Warren Buffett.
Ranking second is the California institution that's adjacent to Palo Alto, and between San Jose and San Francisco. Notable Stanford attendees include Snap (SNAP - Get Report) founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, golfing great Tiger Woods, and Alphabet (GOOGL - Get Report) founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
