Everything You Need to Know About Kmart's Future Revealed in 3 Sad Photos
A Kmart.

A picture speaks a thousand words.

And that definitely holds true in several photos TheStreet uncovered of a once open Kmart. The closed Kmart location in Springfield, Missouri has since been converted into a makeshift storage room for a nearby Bass Pro Shops, according to the pictures.

Sears spokesman Howard Riefs didn't immediately return an email request on whether the company still owns the site.

To be sure, the catastrophe that is Sears Holdings Corp. (SHLD) is likely nearing its next ugly round of developments.

How could one not draw such a conclusion? Sears Canada ( SRSC) has effectively died. Although these are two separate companies, Sears Canada has so much in common with Sears U.S. it's almost laughable. These are businesses that have badly neglected their customers, forgotten that stores need to be invested in and are running out of ways to raise cash.

Meanwhile, Sears U.S. is reportedly closing another 20 stores on top of the 245 it already planned to shutter. This is yet another sign that Sears' business model no longer works, and efforts to save costs are in no way deep enough. Shares of Sears have crashed about 30% to $9.18 over the past year.

If the market is right, Bass Pro Shops may have more Kmart stores available to store fish fixtures.

Here are the sorry pics.
