The following are new investments that those saving for or living in retirement might consider for their portfolios. This week: A new ETF designed focused on large-cap stocks with lower volatility.

The Salt Financial Low truBeta U.S. Market ETF, (LSLT) as the name implies, is designed to provide investors with exposure to mostly large-cap equity names that have exhibited lower volatility relative to the S&P 500 Index, says Marc Zabicki, the president and chief investment officer of Bower Hill Capital Management.

"We believe the construct of the ETF allows investors to use the product as a core holding for the U.S. equity portion of the portfolio, or as a tactical holding when reduction in portfolio beta is required," he says.
