President Donald Trump will pay $25 million to settle lawsuits related to his deceased Trump University, a judge approved the agreement on Friday. This ends about seven years of legal conflicts with customers of Trump University that claim they were misled about learning to be successful in real estate.
Trump admits no wrongdoing under the terms of the agreement, the Associated Press noted.
The ruling was made by U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in San Diego, a man Trump once insinuated could not be impartial because of his Mexican heritage. Curiel is American, he was born in Indiana.
Had no settlement been reached the case would have gone to trial, which would have started in just 10 days, AP added.
