NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- At the end of the first Democratic debate, Anderson Cooper asked the candidates to list their worst enemies. They obliged, and the list was long. Here they are:
Lincoln Chafee: "I guess the coal lobby."
Chafee hammered the idea of attacking climate change throughout the debate, saying that the U.S. should be 100% free of fossil fuels.
Martin O'Malley: "National Rifle Association."
These three words, said in rhythm, brought down the house.
Hillary Clinton: "Probably the Republicans."
This was part of a litany of enemies. Clinton seemed to be searching for the answer that would get the most reaction from the crowd and shit hit it with this last answer.
Bernie Sanders: "Wall Street and the pharmaceutical industry at the top of my list of people who do not like me."
Sanders started by saying that every special interest group hated him.
Jim Webb: "I'd have to say enemy soldier that threw the grenade that wounded me, but he's not around right now to talk to."
Basically, Webb was tacitly saying that he killed the guy -- and maybe that he might kill you if the circumstance called for it -- which is why he came off as a crazy person. Watch:
