The Senate Judiciary Committee is meeting Monday to consider the nomination of Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, however it is expected that Democrats will look to delay the vote until next week.

Several Democrats and independents have voiced their opposition to President Trump's pick for the vacant position. They argue that Gorsuch has too often ruled against workers and in favor of corporations, the Associated Press noted. Others argue that Gorsuch's voice won't be independent from that of the president.
