Your Inner Millionaire

Everyone, even a farm girl from Nebraska, can create a personal cash machine.

One of my Big Table coaching clients asked me recently, "How did a farm girl from Nebraska end up as a multimillionaire and write three best-selling books, all while coaching thousands across the country along their way to becoming millionaires?"

I was a bit taken aback. With my new book,

The Millionaire Maker's Guide to Creating a Cash Machine for Life

, just out, a seven-month-old daughter, my growing community of Live Out Loud coaching clients, stages and media appearances just about every day, it's been awhile since I've thought about how it all began, how I got from there to here.

So, I did stop to think about the question and realized that it was

I was a farm girl from Nebraska that this all happened.

I have written my Millionaire Maker series of best-selling books to share what I have learned -- how to become a millionaire doing it my way, using my wealth cycle process.

The Millionaire Maker's Guide to Creating a Cash Machine for Life

is my step-by-step guide showing how anyone can use their

skill sets to become a successful entrepreneur and get started down their own road to financial freedom.

But more on how I got here: I remember waking up early every morning in Nebraska to do my chores, and then going to bed early so I could wake up early again the next morning to do my chores.

Don't get me wrong; I had a great family life and a wonderful childhood in America's heartland. But I knew there was more.

Conversations around the dinner table were about saving money, not about creating more of it.

They were about scrimping and saving, living a "have to" life, not a "want to" life.

Looking back now, this said to me, "Limit your life until you die."

That's not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life -- get up every morning, work 9 to 5 at a

W-2 job, and then go at it again the next day.

It seemed to me like a good way for a pretty dull life, and a plan for poverty. But that's the path I was on, and I wanted to be rich -- really rich.

So, in a sense, growing up on a farm in Nebraska was the motivator for me getting to where I am today.

I was a very determined young girl. I did my own research on money, spoke to just about every wealthy person I knew and found mentors -- people who would teach me, guide me and show me the way.

I started building businesses in high school, and then, after college, in my first "grown-up" job, it all changed and became real for me.

There, I was surrounded by people who thought very differently about money. There were no 9-to-5 jobs, no fixed wages in this group.

They were creating their own companies, pursuing entrepreneurial ventures and using that money to invest in and develop more assets.

This is how I discovered the wealth cycle, the key to financial success.

My second best-seller,

The Millionaire Maker's Guide to Wealth Cycle Investing

, is all about how anyone can take control of their assets, directly invest for double-digit returns and then reinvest their earnings to build more and diversified assets and cash flow: That's the wealth cycle, making more money than they ever dreamed possible.

By the time I was 35 years old, I had my own multimillion-dollar portfolio of real estate, businesses and notes.

And I have come to truly believe that you have to give back what you get, to share your learning and experience to help others realize their own financial dreams.

Now I'm known as the Millionaire Maker. I make millionaires: It is that simple, and it can often happen in three to five years. And I love coaching thousands across the country along their way to financial freedom.

Through all this I have come up with a set of core beliefs about making money.

Anyone can learn to act, think and make money the way the wealthy do.

Americans do have a choice in how they shape their lives and make decisions around money -- how to make it, invest it and retire without fear of poverty and dependence upon the government.

Everyone already has a skill set to make money as an entrepreneur.

Everyone has the power within to become wealthy and build a team to help them along the way, no matter where they live, their resources or financial situation.

We all can and must teach the next generation financial literacy about building wealth.

All of my books are based on these beliefs and show how anyone can become a millionaire.

    In my first book,

Act, Think, and Make Money the Way the Wealthy Do

, I get my readers started with a

new conversation about money, the same conversation the wealthy have been having for generations.

    Then, in

    Wealth Cycle Investing

, they learn about taking charge of their money, investing it directly for double-digit returns in opportunities most people have never even heard of. Guess what? Double-digit returns are no longer exclusively available to the rich men's clubs.

In my latest book on cash machines, I get right down to how everyone has the power and the skill set to become an entrepreneur, to learn to earn for themselves and escape a lifestyle of a 9-to-5, W-2 job, with little chance of attaining wealth or security for the future.

Building their own cash machines, they generate the cash they need to directly invest and build assets -- again, the wealth cycle.

These days, I am thinking about the next generation as well, developing wealth cycle curricula for grade schools and high schools. There has been such a void for so long in financial education for America's young people. Our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews don't need our money. What they need is our knowledge. The next generation: pass it on.
