One of the fun aspects of being an editor is discovering new talent and introducing it to our audience. I often receive emails from readers who would like to submit articles to us, and correspondence from readers who would like to join our staff of outside contributors.
I am always looking for guest columnists and outside contributors. Here's how you begin the process: If you would like to write a guest column for any of our sites here at TheStreet.com Network, please email your column idea to me with some brief detail what the article will cover, and include your resume as well.
Guest columns, or articles on the flagship site, should be business focused but we also have an interest in entrepreneurship, personal finance and entertainment and recreation, which we feature in our "Good Life" and "Top 1%" sections.
If you would like to write a column for
, articles that are focused on a specific stock or sector work well with our audience. Remember that
is a site that focuses on what's happening in the market during the trading day, so timeliness is a very big factor in our articles.
Potential outside contributors should email me their resume and clips, if they have them. To join our contributors on
, experience as a trader or analyst is essential. Please send me your resume, and we will begin a dialogue.
For those of you who would like to email completed columns, these are also welcome. Like most editors, I give ideas and columns that come in from our readers a tremendous amount of credence, so rest assured that I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Let's stay interactive.
