LOS ANGELES -- Gadget Grrl says with so much media going into an iPhone (AAPL) - Get Report, iPod, etc., it's nice to find a device thathelps load and charge your device without plugging into the desktop or laptop. Simplifi, is not only a charge/sync dock but it's also a media-card reader, and USB hub.

Next up is the Belkin Mini Surge Protector -- a way to gain three extra outletsand two additional slots to power up two USB devices, all at the same time. Gadget Grrl says it's a great compact choice for mobile executives who prefer to carry their own power strips on the road.

With this device off to the side, or in a corner out of sight, you can clear offyour desk to handle paperwork or whatever, while your iPhone is charging or loadingthe latest photos from your last business trip.

What I like about the Simplifi is that it also reads most of the commonly useddigital media cards like, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SD, SDHC, xD and CF (CompactFlash).

The two additional USB slots in the back of the device can also be used to chargeother digital devices like cameras, PDA's and photo frames.

No matter how many stars a hotel has, they never seem to have enough outlets. So most savvy mobile executives have started to carry their own power strips. But those can be bulky and too heavy to pack.

The Belkin Mini Surge Protector is a compact way to gain three extra outletsand two additional slots to power up two USB devices, all at the same time.

What I liked about this device is that it's such a great tool to have on the road and it also comes with a 360-degree rotating plug that you can lock down in four different positions (in case there is a lamp in the way). There is also a protective piece that slides off the plugs so they won't be damaged while going through some of the hardcore TSA security searches.
