This hotel, which features magnificent views of New York harbor, is offering guests a chocolate-themed romance package. The "chocolate lover" package includes a night in a room or suite, a buffet of chocolate desserts and Champagne and a visit to the hotel's 14th floor Chocolate Bar, where guests can browse the selection of chocolate snacks and sculptures. One of Hawaii's most well-appointed beachside resorts, the recently refurbished Kahala Hotel, is offering three specials. The $1,298 "lovers' weekend" includes a three-night stay, Champagne and strawberries on arrival, breakfast, and a five-course dinner of aphrodisiacs, like oysters and chocolate, at Hoku's, one of its restaurants. The $2,985 "suite for lovers" includes all of that, along with two nights in a suite and two 3 1/2-hour spa treatments. The $5,213 "ultimate lovers' weekend" throws in breakfast in bed, three nights in an ocean-view suite and a private beachside dinner. The packages are available until March 16.
The "Regent romance'' package, which starts at $1,200, includes two nights of lodging and a four-course Valentine's dinner with wine parings at 1 Bleu, the hotel's fine-dining restaurant. A "bath butler" is also on hand for guests who want to soak as they snack on Champagne and chocolate. The deal is available for any two nights from Feb. 13-15.
This boutique hotel in the city's Union Square offers a "leave your heart in San Francisco'' package. This package is available through Feb. 28.
This red-rock retreat is offering rooms from $295 a night. Guests get a chocolate-cooking demonstration, an "aura color" reading and a couples' yoga session. Separately, the resort is offering a Valentine's Day dinner for $125 a person in the plush Yavapai restaurant. This sweetheart deal runs Feb. 13-15.
This renovated Old World hotel, in Vietri Sul Mare, has rolled out a 320 euro (about $430) per night Valentine's package that features lodging in a sea-view room, candlelight dinner for two with live music, massages in the hotel's spa, breakfast and, of course, Champagne and strawberries. Better hurry, though: the package is only available on Valentine's Day.
: It shouldn't take much effort to embrace the "passionate mood'' package at this
hotel. Starting at $700 a night, the deal includes a stay in one of its thatched-roof bungalows over the water and dinner for two at the hotel's Le Tipanie restaurant. Coconut sweets, Champagne and a bathtub full of flowers will greet you when you return to your room.
This gem on the Rue de Rivoli is one of the poshest hotels in the City of Light. The refurbished property's "la vie en rose'' package starts at 700 euros ($910) per night, and includes an American breakfast, Champagne, pink petits fours, and a bouquet of roses. Trendy designer Philippe Starck led the recent makeover.
Four connected Georgian townhouses make up this lovely hotel, which boasts an 18th century garden, working fireplaces and the two-Michelin star Cellar Restaurant. The hotel's "lasting love'' package includes an Irish breakfast, bottle of Champagne, chocolates and roses. It's available until the end of February for 380 euros ($495) a couple per night. On Feb. 14, the Merrion will add a candlelit, three-course dinner in the Cellar Restaurant, a package that starts at 530 euros ($690).
