The position: Senior international buyer for Guess (Stock Quote: GES)

Job duties: Analyzes global trends, historical data and channel input at department/classification level. Recommends seasonal strategies based on analysis. Reviews financial targets at the department, class or style level as appropriate. Identifies and recommends big ideas, key drivers and promotional strategies, and review to ensure they meet financial goals. Evaluates product execution and point of view; gets customer and store associate feedback.

Requirements: Requires master's degree in business administration, marketing, management or a related field, plus two years of experience in a related position. Should have knowledge of international merchandise trends, with an emphasis on the French market, and their financial implications. Applicants should have experience in merchandising, planning and the retail industry. Prefer candidates with experience related to licensing, cosmetics and fashion in the French market.
