The position: Director of business development for NASCAR Media Group
Location: New York, N.Y.
Job duties: Will serve as the primary NY point of contact for all NASCAR Media inquiries from internal managers and Official Partners. Responsible for account troubleshooting and customer service. Will represent NASCAR Media Group in key business-to-business efforts, prospecting and ongoing renewals with Official Partners, prospects and other service providers. Will facilitate creative content asset development tailored to meet partner needs and strategies. Must provide an active leadership role across sports, media, digital production and other trade organizations.
The company: NASCAR is the major professional motorsports company, sanctioning more than 1,200 races at 100 tracks across the U.S. Based in Daytona Beach, Florida, NASCAR has several other U.S. offices.
Requirements: Must have extensive knowledge of production, post-production and content creation processes and practices. Must be able to facilitate complex project completion and tracking across various physical locations. Needs to have hands-on familiarity with motorsports landscape and knowledge of key players' roles and functional areas of influence and expertise. Must have expertise in the NY area marketing services/agencies and their communities. Excellent presentation skills and brainstorming ability required. Must be a self-starter who can work independently and remotely without being hampered by physical distance from colleagues and staff.
