NEW YORK (MainStreet) – With January winding down, we’re beginning to see deeper and deeper discounts as retailers try to make room for the new spring inventory. This weekend we’ve got a fresh round of deals, with retailers offering coupons and giving bigger discounts on clearance items.

First there’s Old Navy, which is advertising up to 90% off on clearance items (which is “almost free!” according to its Facebook page). The sale is in-store only so we can’t say which items are going to be on sale; it will likely vary from store to store. If you’re not into the leftovers from winter, you can also get 30% off select spring styles. Jeans and gift cards are excluded and the sale is only good through Sunday.

Meanwhile Banana Republic, another Gap store, is offering 30% off online purchases when you use the coupon code BRJAN30. It expires Feb. 3, and there are no exclusions that we can see.

Sears is also offering a variety of sales on its website, though the discounts aren’t quite as deep. It’s taking an extra 15% off fine jewelry with the code HEARTS15 and an extra 20% off clearance apparel, intimates and cosmetics with the code SEARSTWENTY. The site says that the codes are good today only, but Sears has been running similar sales since Christmas so don’t worry if you miss out today. You can also get up to an extra 20% off on appliances through Wednesday, Feb. 2.
